Across the nation, Scholarship America's programs -- including Dollars for Scholars -- have given out $2.5 billion to nearly 2 million students since it's founding 50 years ago.

In our community, our chapter has made a big impact on the lives of students as well. Since our humble beginning in 1994, when we offered one $500 award, we have made great strides in our mission of helping our students achieve their educational goals. We now provide an average of 25 awards each year to graduating seniors of Peotone High School. What's more impressive is the commitment from the businesses, organizations and individuals in the community that generously provide the funds for these awards. Through these annual gifts, our students see that we believe in them and support their quest for success.
